Why is it that the Total War series always cheats the closer you get to winning? I’m not a strategic genius at the military level, but I can make some decent strategies to make my country one of the strongest.
Currently doing Empire: Total War as the Russians. I took over several of the required provinces without much trouble. Just build a big army and squish them. Then keep the province happy. That is the challenge! And the CPU provinces will trade provinces left and right for a pittance. Unless you are supposed to have them. Then, only war will earn the province.
Stupid game. The CPU should just learn that, sometimes, it loses. Or I will have to teach it with a hammer. A 3-lb sledge-type hammer.
Someday I will write about the 15-lb sledge team-building exercise. It was a blast!
